‘Add subtract’ is the handle for British artist Andy Dennett who has interesting back story & doorway into the UK art market. Inspired by over 20 years within the music industry, the idea of & exposure to celebrity, as well the urban decay of British cities, all infuse onto his canvases.
Back Story
Initially interested in music as his main artistic outlet, he further studied sound engineering and music production in Surrey’s ‘Academy of Contemporary Music.’ He then transitions into becoming a DJ at nightclubs and events across country, before starting his own independent record label and getting involved in promotion.
Interesting he recalls, during that time, his interest in the various posters and flyer for 'rave nights' and being fascinated by them!
