In the town where the children play an innocent game of football, also lays the dock for the ship to pull into.
With telephone poles and cranes towering the buildings, the children are simply happy enjoying their sporting game of football and are unfazed by the wetness of the ground.
You can see how the gadgie walks down the street away from us. This is something in which Millar has accustomed in his paintings, either portraying his gadgie's from behind or with their heads facing the ground so that we are unsure of their facial features.
Millar only allows us body language to rely on so that we are to imagine the features of his creations in our minds. This makes for a very interesting and certainly different piece of art work to own.
