With the older gentleman holding his grandson's hand as the rains pour, this image certainly makes for an endearing and sweet-natured addition. Produced in graphite there are particular areas in which I am drawn to such as the wonderful puddles created by simply shading light and dark lines at the bottom of the pictorial space.
Millar's sketches show the raw authenticity within his works and his wonderful ability as an artist and this piece is certain to be successful among his admirable collectors.
