These Pearly Kings (one from Westminster in London) are clearly worse for wear and have perhaps been celebrating some Royal occasion in London.
This limited edition, giclee on paper, is set off on a plain cream background and the focus becomes the royal blue of the Pearly Kings's outfits - although to be honest, I thought they wore black sequinned clothes! But we must allow the artist Alexander Millar to have his artistic freedom.
I like the blobs of paint underneath their shoes, which is a subtle & purposeful representation of movement.
