Andrew Holmes was born 1959 in the UK and studied in Cornwall, where he achieved a degree in Art and Design. After graduation the artist went on to have a hugely successful career in both illustration and design and this went global, with his paintings showing all over the world.
Although he had built up quite the creative reputation, this being his aim from the start, Andrew had always wanted to delve into the Fine Art side of his creativity and the feedback he received was truly positive and so this is where he wished for his professional career to steer towards.
Andrew’s art has often been described as Modern British Realism. It is diverse in subject matter taking us from truly spectacularly visual Venetian scenes, right through to still life of cakes and fruit bowls.
Since delving into his fine art, Holmes's work can be seen in both private and public collections worldwide. His work has featured on TV and appeared in the media too. Now living in West London, Holmes continues to paint, and his originals sell to all over the UK.
