'Liberty' is a clever sculpture and immediately two things stand out for the viewer. One is the pose of the horse, bracing itself for a landing after a hedge jump, an absolute classic equine 'snap shot.'
Secondly, the amazing colours April Shepherd is able to give the sculpture & the attention to detail is breathtaking. I love the sandy and cream colours used on the back half of the horse's torso.
There is something very graceful about horses in motion, seemingly taking pride in every movement they make.
