George Michael in his iconic look seen during the singer’s first solo concerts, ‘The Faith Tour’ 1988-89, and it’s a nice touch that Ben has titled this original ‘Got To Have Faith,’ of course lyrics from his song ‘Faith.’
Here the star is dressed in the era defining BSA Project leather jacket, Levi blue jeans, white t-shirt and studded: belt, arm bands, gloves and Ray Ban Aviator sunglasses, finished off with cowboy boots - Yee haw!
This look and in particular the leather jacket, helped give George the rock 'n' roll look & credibility and is widely remembered by fans of the musician; it was also a widely available leather jacker that people could buy in the 80s & 90s & wear to dress up like their favourite singer!
Some may remember that the lining of the jacket was red, and in some photos George rolled the jacket up his arms and wore red cuffs! I wonder if Ben will create another original with these showing - or why not commission the artist to paint your own through us?
Interestingly, it was a unisex jacket that could be worn by men and women & perhaps that is analogous to George’s musical appeal whatever your sex or age!
