A welcome ‘original’ addition to the ongoing & highly successful: 'Ben Jeffery - Freddie Mercury And Queen - Collection'

A rather special commission piece for a fab customer of ours and a massive Freddie fan! Incidentally, this is the first time I have ever seen a Fine Art original (or limited edition print) featuring the musical icon from this video.

Knowing Freddie loved cats and had many of his own, the customer wanted to an image from the last ever Queen music video, ‘These Are The Days Of Our Lives’ (1991), combined with a close recreation of the famous & distinctive cat waistcoat he wore, featuring his beloved pet cats.

For reference we gave Ben the best image online of Freddie (hand on hips) posing from the promotional stills of the video shoot, and a hi-res image of the coat from the ‘Freddie Mercury: A World of His Own’ exhibition and Sotheby's record breaking 6 auctions in September 2023.

We were lucky that such an image was released, as it was a wonderful guide for Ben’s artistic talent in capturing the waistcoat and the colours.

Looking at the final painting, I have to admit, the customer and our whole team where simply stunned at the resulting picture and fantastic keepsake!
