Love In The Rain by Bob Barker

The first thing that comes to mind when I look at this piece is Mary Poppins. The smudged almost chalky affect in the centre of the street reminds me of the scene where the characters draw out their landscape, before jumping into their visions and land up in the picture they have created!

The contrasts between the light and dark areas are strongly portrayed in this image, not only from the pavement, but also from the sky, thus creating a reflective light throughout the whole piece. This is an excellent Limited Edition which brings strong connotations of love into Barker's vision.
