See Ya Tomarra by Bob Barker

Two boys after a full day of discovery and adventure leave each other for the evening shouting 'see ya' tomorra' happy in the knowledge that more play would continue the following day. But as I was painting I could see a different scenario developing. This evoked a somewhat melancholic emotion in me, thinking of my own three biys growing up, each with their own best mates all totally inseperable for long periods of time. The bond between them so strong yet quite fragile at the same time, in that one insignificant action or misunderstood word can take one off in a huff leaving the other quite whistfully watching his mate disappear off into the distance shouting to him, with hope in his heart 'see ya' tomorra'
