Female artist Bozhena Fuchs is a highly acclaimed Ukrainian painter now based in Prague, Czech Republic. Her early life saw her study social scenes in Uzhhorod National University, graduating in 2006, before eventually pursuing her passion for painting!
Her first two nationally released limited editions are simply magnificent works of art featuring snowcapped mountains: 'Alpine Reverie' and 'Arctic Heights' have created great excitement within UK gallery wall space, every canvas being beautifully hand finished & displaying a unique freshness in the current art world.
She will turn her immense talent to any scene, but her heart lies in cityscapes and seascapes as she is very much drawn to the sea, having been porn in ‘Kherson’ a port on the Dnipro River that leads to the Black Sea. Unsurprisingly, being born in such a vast country, the natural world is also hugely inspiring to Bozhena.
Her style involves large brushstrokes blended with nuanced paint work and her aim is to always capture excitement, movement and vibrancy in each painting; she will also add different colours, light and shadows to recreate the image in her mind's eye, to brilliant effect!
She believes in spontaneity on the canvas, expressing a sense of adventure, her lived experience & her own learning to create awe inspiring artworks and as she puts it: 'a moment in time’
She has worked with select UK galleries for some time and her global collector base includes Europe, Japan, North America and Australia. Her alpine work is reminiscent of Irish artist & adventurer Philip Gray.
She has exhibited at several high profile art fairs including the: Fresh Art Fair in Cheltenham, & major European contemporary art fairs: Art Innsbruck (Austria) & the Luxembourg Art Fair.
