Using bronze resin has created a somewhat 'glossier' effect and allows the form of the man's body to enhance, making this a stand out sculpture for a room. It is elegant and stylish in shape, in a way unique to Payne's style.

In the Olympic year of 2012, this piece has even more significance and relevance, with its ancient Olympic sporting theme & it is, of course, a unique limited edition sculpture in its own right.

The figure appears to be multi-tasking several things: making sure not to fall off of the bronze ball, spinning a hoop using the fingers of both hands & all whilst trying to maintain an element of grace & poise.

Payne uses the medium of bronze to make a statement piece and certainly does so. This is a cleverly crafted sculpture and its form creates a feature piece for wherever it may be situated in a home.
