Victory by Carl Payne

Graceful in her pose and maintaining a carefree approach whilst posing as she is upright, is certainly impressive. It is great that Payne does not allow us to see tension in the female's face, as she struggles to balance and hold onto the plinth.

2012 sees the Olympic year in London and with this sculpture we are drawn back to the earliest Olympic games in what was ancient Greece. This is such a fitting piece, in this very exciting and proud year for the UK and her athletes.

Proving that females are better at multi-tasking than men is evident with her upstaging the previous sculpture by juggling two bronze hoops, all whilst standing on a ball, balancing on one leg!

I like the polished look of the 'bronze' sculpture version, having an almost marble like look about the piece & taking us back to some mythological time in Greek history.
