Rugby Bull by Caroline Shotton

Caroline Shotton has released this cute new addition to her range and I imagine this is as a result of the huge success of her January release simply called 'Rugby Ball.'

Who would have thought rugby fans also have an artistic appreciation! This piece is also signed by Tom Croft, whom the picture is supposed to depict as a cow!

Another delightfully funny image paying tribute to sports star Tom Croft, one of England's brightest rugby players - no word yet as to what Tom thinks of his portrait!

This image comes framed and ready to hang and we have chosen a suitable frame, the gold really bringing out the regal nature of Caroline's latest work.

'Rugby Bull' is Caroline's latest release for January 2014 and continues her theme of painting humanesque cow figures. Having featured: historical figures, movie stars and super heroes in her recent limited editions, Shotton has now painted her first sports star in this Rugby themes image.

England's Tom Croft is the person she is depicting but no confirmation as yet as to what he thinks of his caricature; certainly I wouldn't want to upset him! Those rugby guys are strong as a bull!

Like 'Spidermoo,' 'Batmoo' & 'We Can Be Heroes,' this is a box canvas so a frame is not needed and this gives the piece an added lightness. At 30 inches square this is a 'good' size Shotton as well. A sell out is expected.
