I am very pleased to showcase artist monikered as Chess's first free standing sculpture release. Of course, tongue-in-cheek she has gone and created a 'chess piece' sculpture using a giant shaped 'Queen' piece.
The artist has used newspaper cuttings as a collage to carefully cover the large chess piece, from the day of the late Queen Elizabeth II's coronation in June 1953.
The exact paper being:
'Daily Sketch - 3rd June 1953 - Coronation Souvenir'
Each sculpture is individually created as a one-off original and she will do (up to) 10 only of these, each one of course unique.
This follows on from the best-selling JJ Adams - Make Art Not War - Bomb Sculptures (2022) (please get in touch on remaining stock) who is from the same publishing house, doubtless the artists share ideas & concepts!
