This is part of Chris's homage to great artists series and here we have - ‘David Knocknee - Walking Home.’
As usual, we see a man and a dog at an exhibition looking at a recreation of David Hockney’s - 'Road and Cornfields, East Yorkshire' (2004).
David wanted to portray the sways and movement of the English countryside, a nod to the great british water colourists of the 18th & 19th century, and the results were exhibited at Somerset House in London & the L.A. Louver Gallery in Los Angeles, 20 years ago.
Featuring 36 paintings, the exhibition was called 'Midsummer: East Yorkshire 2004' and received a lot of press coverage at the time, did you go?
