The beautiful multicoloured spinnakers of these boats are on display and are painted catching the wind effortlessly, with their kaleidoscope of colours on top of a fresh aqua sea.
I love the use of white for the clouds, the material of the spinnakers and the ocean spray itself, giving the limited edition a freshness and vibrancy few artists are able to achieve with water (the only other coming to mind is artist Duncan MacGregor).
Dale is an accomplished painter of sailing ships and boats and this is part of his Marine series of artworks.
