Memories - sculpture is the follow up back to one of Doug's bestselling limited edition prints: 'Making Memories' (2018) but with the added upgrade of Monty (black labrador) joining Fuzz (brown and white dog) and the human character in blue!

So the question is, was Monty always hiding behind the giant Scrabble tiles and is he a glory hunter? Well, the team are just about to place the 'S' to make the word up and take a group photo for their hard work - well those tiles where pretty heavy!

Just for good measure, Doug revisits Scrabble again with the new limited edition 'Family' release also part of this new 'I Love You' collection for February 2020.

One of Doug's best selling limited editions of 2018, here we have 'Making Memories.' This limited edition print really seems to hit a cord with people but I wonder, what does it mean for you and what does it conjure up?

Set against the backdrop of a giant game of Scrabble our two characters are proud that their letters spell such a memorable word, one that is unexpected and yet deep and meaningful for so many of us.

The man (in purple this time) and the brown and white dog pose, smile at 'the camera' as they hold positions either end of the rack and make new 'Memories' for all of us Doug Hyde fans!

What works really well here, is the juxtaposed black and white colours of the background and foreground, set against lovely warm, relaxing cream coloured Scrabble tiles, underlined by a rich wooden brown rack.

Little did we know that Hyde would continue the theme later in the year & return to popular games and puzzles, releasing: ‘The Faces Of Love’ (print) and ‘The Many Faces Of Love’ (book) in tribute to the much loved Rubik’s cube.
