I'm sure you will all agree that this is a true summary of our feelings and how they progress throughout the week, so that we can all look forward to when Friday comes and the weekend dawns!
His lovable character enable this piece to really stand out, for example their exaggerated heads, vibrant t-shirts and the blackness of their backdrops allow the Giclee to really make a good focal point for any wall it is situated on!
Day 4 of the New Releases for the Love Counts Collection 2014 sees 'Monday, Wednesday, Friday II' revealed and this is a return to the popular triptych style of prints from Doug Hyde.
Previously triptych releases that come to mind are: 'I Love, You Love, Me Love' (2010) & of course the original limited edition: 'Monday, Wednesday, Friday I.'
This style image sells really well & connects with Doug's fans almost instantly.
'Monday, Wednesday, Friday II' has the sad, neutral and happy faced characters but this time we seem them full bodied, in their glorious coloured clothes and rather large shoes!
This deluxe Triptych is a welcome return to this style & features 3 of Doug Hyde's characters, much like the Japanese proverb (and Doug Hyde release!) of 'Three Wise Monkeys' & the saying 'See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil.'
Of course Doug has reimagined this in his own unique way. This brings to mind the limited edition print (and sculpture) 'Small, Medium & Large' which again featured three of Doug's' characters and was a huge best seller.
This is the on canvas version and therefore the colours and finish are even more luxurious & are truer to the original painting.
A must have piece for Doug Hyde collectors everywhere!
Perhaps the piece de resistance of all the sculptures is this objet d'art for 'Monday, Wednesday, Friday.'
As well as spoiling us with new release: 'Monday, Wednesday, Friday II' as a paper and canvas we now have for the first time the reimagined title as an objet d'art wall sculpture and the effect is brilliant.
I'll be honest and say once you see them in person you get the true effect, and no jpeg can do it justice.
These are fresh, smart and humorous and are a smashing way to celebrate Doug's 10th Year as a published artist, as part of 'The Love Counts Collection' (2014).
