Doug's tribute to Picasso's 'Dove Of Peace' (1949), also known as ‘'La Colombe de la Paix’ and variation incarnations of the peace dove that have become synonymous with the artist.
Picasso created the image for a peace conference held in Paris by the World Peace Council in 1949.
On a graffiti strewn wall, Doug's orange clothed character has painted a white dove over a blue painted section of wall, and you know instantly it’s a Picasso tribute!
Incidentally the 'graffiti' on the brick wall are: two hearts, 'Love' and 'Love You,' some of the warmest hearted words seen and not the usual street 'tags' we see in built up areas or on bridges!
Doug reminds us art is everywhere and there are no boundaries as to where it can be created!
