Ramblers by Doug Hyde

As well as journeying together in this lovely print, Doug Hyde's dynamic duo also like to dance and then chill out - see them relaxing together (in a haystack!) in the delightful limited edition: 'First One To The Top.'

One of my favourite features of this artwork is their ever so cute little red noses, the only colour within the charcoal picture and it reminds me of the little coloured embellishments on the 'Lost Reindeer Collection’ - such as the man's nose from 'Silent Night.'

'The Ramblers' by Doug Hyde is a new limited edition print that celebrates the theme of teamwork and mutual respect, with the hedgehog and mouse happily foraging for food together.

If you look closely, the two characters faces are strikingly similar in that they have the same eyes, red for nose and the gap between eye and nose is equivalent. They do indeed look like kindred spirits and forest friends.

A very brave mouse hitches a ride on an equally friendly hedgehog, in this cute new sculpture release finished off with a beautifully smooth, black finished plinth.

Proving to be one of Doug's most popular sellers of 2014, collectors fell over themselves to buy the pair, the sister piece being 'Country Dancing - Sculpture.'

The hedgehog himself was amazingly well finished, with the individual spikes covered in a lush grey metallic paint wonderfully hand painted and lacquered. The mouse had a lovely white finish, bright and shiny - finished off with two beautiful red noses!
