Although tecnhically 'Sweet Talk' features cake, I will happily add it to the highly successfgul ‘Doug Hyde - Sweets Collection,’ which over time has featured: penny sweets, biscuits, love hearts, ice cream…are you hungry yet?
Uh-oh! I think Monty the black lab and his owner have taken Marie Antoinette's phrase a little too far, from 'Let them eat cake' to 'Let them eat giant cake!!!’
After a hard day playing in the park, a human and 'Monty' the black lab sit down to eat their giant French Fancy cakes, one pink and one yellow!
I wonder if this was a special order from Mr Kipling himself? (other cake brands are available!) and I hope they decide to share some with you and me.
'Sweet Talk' is sure to be a great seller from this new 'Doug Hyde - 20th Anniversary Collection.'
In what is clearly a cheeky nodd to Mr Kipling's - French Fancies, Monty the black lab and his owner have grabbed an extra large pink (‘vanilla’ with white drizzle) & yellow (‘lemon’ with brown drizzle) fancies and are about to tuck in - just as soon as Doug paints this scene!
Did you know the original French Fancies where part of the initial ‘Mr Kipling’ brand launched way back in 1967? So they have been a British tea time staple for well over 50 years and obviously date as far back as the swinging 60s!
