This was the lead piece from Doug's 2017 'Looking On The Brightside - Collection,' and featured on all the email marketing and brochures.
This stunning and uplifting box canvas was Doug's first major foray into experimenting with neon paints, a throwback to simpler times perhaps and a reminder of early computer graphics from the 1970s and 80s.
As you can see, it works wonderfully and this limited edition of just 150 copies sold out in a matter of weeks.
'You Light Up My World' also took advantage of Doug choosing the dye sublimation printing technique, where colours are burned onto canvas for vivid & bright reproduction of the original paints; the result was the attention grabbing box canvas you see here.
In simplistic terms, 'You Light Up My World' strips Doug's paintings back to their very essence: happy, smiley faces with a message of hope and illumination in a sometimes dark world - long may your star shine Doug!
