Update - the gorgeous blue patina is very beautifully only applied to one side of the new sculpture (and sails!) for your ease we have images of the Front & the Back of the ship.
The ‘Duncan MacGregor - Bronze Sculpture - Collection’ now makes up five spectacular pieces and the latest: 'Call Of The Sea' reveals the artist experimenting with a double triangular design (for the sails) and an eye catching blue patina, for a spectacular recreation of a sailing ship!
I love the juxtaposition of the blue patina vs the tradition green patina on the hull, set off against the double level black base.
Many have tried but few can compare to the artist, who is the master at creating these yachting related scenes on canvas and in sculpture format.
This is Duncan's first new bronze since ‘Flying Sails - Bronze’ (2015) and a welcome addition to these highly collectable nautical sculptures - We still field phone calls asking for the older bronzes, some sold out for a decade!
