The first in a series of three paintings and one sculpture for Spring 2015 and Duncan concentrates on the colour blue.
The sail itself is a subtle dark blue and almost has a night time or dusk feel to it, perhaps with the front sail catching the last rays from the sun as it goes over the horizon.
Customers often buy the two uprights as pairs and place them either side of their chimney, where do you have in mind?
As usual Duncan has included a pair of upright limited editions in his latest releases for Spring 2015.
'Flying Sails II' is the left facing yacht and what catches your eye is it's reflection in the rippled water.
The main white sail looks like it's been done with one stroke of a massive brush, those thick types they use for masonry painting and yet contrast this with the magnificent precision detail of the rest of the artwork
An impressive new release by Duncan McGregor, known to many as simply 'Dmac.'
Four yachts in a row in what is a picture of artistic simplicity, clean lines and pleasing colour combinations, his dominant blue limited editions always sell well in galleries.
Would you call this naive art? Appearing very simplistic in the way it is painted, the reality is that Duncan's artistic talent makes him a one of a kind
We have taken Duncan MacGregor's new release and float framed it in the official frame, a stunning silver and it sets the box canvas off superbly
A 'float' framed version of Duncan's latest limited edition, this large and impressive piece would look wonderful in your home & is light and colourful.
Here we have one of Duncan's latest releases in its official frame and it has been float framed, so there is a small gap between the box canvas and the frame.
Duncan's 4th and perhaps best bronze to date, at nearly 2 foot tall we have a large centrepiece for your McGregor collection.
Continuing to attract new art collectors to his work and particularly those who sail or have tie-ins to the sailing community, there is something very distinct about McGregor’s style.
The bronze is a ‘modern art’ interpretation of a sailing ship but those that follow the artist’s work could be forgiven for thinking this has been lifted straight from one of his limited edition prints.
