Midnight Echoes II by Duncan MacGregor

In the sister piece to ‘Midnight Echoes I,’ the ship faces the other way, the wind is blowing the ship to our right.

You are dazzled with how Duncan has used generous swipes of the paint brush to create the ship & its sails.

MacGregor has somehow mastered a technique where his paintings are both iridescent & illuminous at the same time and this is something unique in the ‘nautical’ & UK published art world.

I wonder if this is the follow up to ‘Moonlit Sails II’ as the two limited editions, although they have different finishes, actually have complementary colours.

It’s interesting that Duncan has returned to this colour pallet of purple, mauve & turquoise - I am sure he has had a lot of positive feedback.
