I could never describe a typical day, as in my life there's no such thing. When I work inspired me to work, and the rest, while I am waiting for inspiration. I think if I work this way, not only I feel more happy and relaxed, I also produce a result more enjoyable! If there is one thing in my life has taught me, is not the plan. I believe that if we have the luxury of freedom, then enjoy life more when you learn to accept what it throws at you and accommodate changes instead of planning to avoid them. This way, if something does not happen can assume that was not meant to be and move on, instead of breeding with disappointment. For me painting is a way to cope with what life throws at me, and share the beauty and passion I see in the world around me. The art of painting is not just about making images on canvas, is perhaps the most part, the art of listening and seeing. If I can compose a great piece of music or write a beautiful sonnet I would like to do, but I always inject hope and joy in it. In my painting I am trying to write the song that happy on canvas-provide a melody that will bring joy to the people of souls.
My inspiration comes from the intensity and drama of emotional interaction between people, either myself or those around me; The emotions of faith, hope and love are what give me my overwhelming desire of the paint. I do not have to think about what subject to choose; I think that the images that arise from the dance of life that I try to catch in the natural elements that are a feature of my work. Painting brings me great joy, which is another aspect that I hope my work remains fresh and exciting.
In a life filled with art, I have been influenced by many things and many people. The strongest of them has been influenced by the Yugoslav Mersad Berber artist whose beautiful pictures chronicle of events past centuries still betray a preoccupation with its own reality. I think that a painting can be based on a single brush stroke, and stroke contain enough emotion. I paint in order to speak to others and share the warmth and emotion that is always shedding. I do not think I was in the loop to the possibilities, therefore, I am always ready to explore a new medium. Right now I am working primarily in oils, encaustic and pastel, with the addition of gold leaf to emphasize the key elements within the composition. The encaustic is an old technique, the mixture of beeswax and oil paintings that can be applied to paper, cardboard or canvas; Baby layers and scratches are used to add depth and character to the finished picture.
