Darya In Car With Lipstick by Fabian Perez

The subject Perez so familiarly refers to is the female form in all her beauty, yet the beauty is somewhat questioned when situated in a particular surrounding; this is no different.

Applying her lipstick whilst sat in the car, the figure, (which is the focal point for this Giclee), is flirtatious in her manner and is more than aware of someone watching her.

Perez depicts brilliant tones of light and dark, which is emphasised with the highlights on her shoulders and legs and in particular her forehead.

My guess would be that this is a lady of the night, and the fact that she is alone in a car applying or reapplying her makeup is a huge clue.

However this is far from a seedy image in front of us, which is why Perez is so brilliant at what he does.

He manages to turn what should be a somewhat cynical image into something romantic and certainly beautiful!
