Kayleigh is indeed at the Ritz, but which one? I am sure it is not the one in London.
Perhaps this is the 'Hotel Ritz' hostel in Buenos Aires an old building aged but with tremendous character, or perhaps the more modern 'Ritz Carlton' hotel in Santiago, Chile?
I suspect it is the Argentinian one, where countless people and couples has passed through the years, experiencing emotions, arguments and reconciles. I am sure the walls have heard every facet of human interplay.
Kayleigh is a beautiful model and Fabian has painted her from two angles, each illuminated by the morning sunshine, as she is dressed seductively in night dress and stockings. The artist has used bright uplifting colours for the door, wallpaper and bedspread.
What is the backstory of the character she is portraying? A weekend romance in the old town and a stay at the Ritz? Perhaps she is doing ‘other’ work in order to pay her bills, & getting dressed and ready to leave at sunrise…
You will have to approach Fabian at his next exhibition and ask him yourself.
