Summer Rain by Fabian Perez

They say a look is worth a thousand words but in this new artwork 'Summer Rain' (24 x 30 inch canvas version), Fabian Perez conveys that a glance away, can be much more powerful.

In this limited edition on canvas piece, we see a lady (perhaps Saba) holding a white umbrella, with her head turned away from the viewer.

Her dress is alluring and the use of white paint, to represent sunlight on her right hand side & on the black dress, is masterful by Perez.

What stands out for me is Fabian Perez's painting of her hands and face; her hands are perfectly created and in position and her face: the jaw line, cheek bones, nose and eyelashes create the illusion that I am present at the scene - a superb piece of artwork.

The sun's powerful light is also shining through the very top of the white umbrella and Fabian has used a lighter shade of white to depict this on the canvas.
