Lost in thought as she shies her face away from the viewer, Teresa rests back into the cushions with a large glass of wine, perhaps contemplating previous events. Wearing very little we can probably conclude that her thought lay within a gentleman that has come to visit her and now as she sits alone in the dark she reflects on her feelings of sombreness.

The way in which the materials have been painted show an wonderful expression of colour and vibrancy, yet this is overshadowed by the dark nature of the piece and allows for the black background to take forefront of Teresa's sadness. There is so much to discover within this painting and each time you view it a new element of subject matter can be referenced making this a fantastic Limited Edition for Perez's series and a piece that you can simply become absorbed in.
