There is no better to way to visually see the talent of Fabian Perez than to own an original painting and here we showcase 'Study For The Train Station VII.'

As you can see - e.g. take a look at 'Study For Tess III With Fireplace - Original' - he will often paint more than one version of a scene he has in his mind or one he actually creates with models, in this case a couple embracing at a train station - perhaps it is the model Marcus, with Saba or Tess here?
I admire how the light reflection from the painted train in the background compares to that of the man’s black suit and the lady’s dress; perhaps it is daytime, or they are under the station lights?
The woman is perfectly poised, holding the man's head and her eyes closed, as the man pulls here in for a deeply emotional embrace.
As this is the 'study,' and I am sure preparation for another painting, Fabian has applied loose brush strokes and uses a less defined colour palette, with lighter colour tonnes than one would normally enjoy in his paintings.
You can also view small detail in this more impressionistic Perez: train wheels, tracks and the gravel in between, and even the man’s collar and cuffs have not been forgotten.
Lastly, I was drawn to the makeup on her eyes and her red lipstick, a splash of colour on an amazing original artwork. Fabian remains a master of figurative original oil painting.
