He grew up in the small city of Campana, where his father, Antonio, owned several nightclubs and brothels, and his mother, Edua, was a school teacher and singer. At the age of 9, he discovered his passion for art and began painting portraits of family and friends using watercolours and tempera.

Perez's art style is characterised by bold, symbolic imagery, strong romantic feelings, and a sense of rhythm and movement. His paintings often depict beautiful, seductive women in nightclub settings, as well as tango dancers and flamenco guitarists. Fabian Perez is undoubtedly one of the most popular and recognisable figurative artists of his generation - recognisable both in terms of his fantastic paintings and indeed his own distinctive look, hair & debonair dress sense.
**Short documentary on the artist:
His impressionistic imagery of beautiful women and darkened canvases of men drinking in low lit, smoked filled rooms (to name just two popular subject matters), are highly collectable on both sides of the Atlantic.
The artist has many ardent collectors who have followed him throughout his career both, here in Britain, in the United States, his home continent of South America & Worldwide. His art style is often copied by other painters but they never quite match the magic Fabian is able to produce from his palette!
His original paintings are evocative and emotive & hark back to a much more traditional style of oil painting from the past. Yet, somehow Fabian has managed to bring modernity to the figurative art genre, using his incredible talent with the paint brush & canvas.
Perez is South American, born in Argentina in the late 1960s and he carries all the passion of his country and the Latin spirit into his artwork. Fabian lives in Los Angeles, California with his wife Luciana ('Lucy') and children, working mostly in the morning there on his artistic compositions.
**Fabian interviewed at a one man show in 2017:
Since 2010, the artist has been lavished with a plethora of awards and accolades within the art industry and beyond.
In 2018 Fabian set out to paint a series of 'Living Legend' portraits and that would include a memorable painting of Arnold Schwarzenegger, who happened to be a hero of the artist.
That painting led to Arnold contacting him, Fabian and his whole family being invited over for dinner and subsequently becoming great friends with the legendary actor and bodybuilder. Fabian recently attended and aided Arnolds 2019 'After School All Stars' charity event in LA, which went on to raise over $5 million dollars for the former Governor’s charity: 'After-School All-Stars (ASAS).'
August 2019 saw Fabian attend a special event launch of his new book, original & limited edition print: 'Neo-Emotionalism - The New Era' at Althorp House, that included an audience Q&A session and a series of new original paintings - including a beautiful painting of the Countess Spencer herself.
Luckily for us here in the United Kingdom, Perez continues to make appearances and tour galleries, sometimes twice a year, to showcase his new original art and limited edition print releases. His enthusiasm, charm and zest for life, I have no doubt increase the sales at those events with the public wanting to take home some of his art and with it capture the feeling of meeting this most enigmatic of artists.
