Fezz

Artist ‘Fezz’ takes a look at fame and carefully curated celebrity photography, putting his heart & soul into producing eye-catching one off mixed media originals. There is something very reminiscent of photographer Eve Arnold in the photo’s he chooses to work with.

The process starts with a very high quality silkscreen print and he then begins stages of labour intensive hand finishing, using a myriad of processes including generous helpings of ‘diamond dust,’ topped off with beautiful contemporary white framing!

The artist creates two distinct types of his mixed media originals: the classic black and white photography look, or the half-tone silkscreens, which usually have a dominant bold colour such a pink or yellow! A nod amongst many to Pop Art!

Of course, Fezz is another of our modern published artists going by their own distinct handle (nickname) and perhaps this is part of their branding? Creating a mystique and aura around their artwork & following in the footsteps of the UK’s most famous proponent…Banksy!

The artist has learnt his craft with many years working in art, print & photography studios, understanding the nuances of modern art and photography production, he feels is key to his success.

Fezz's art heroes include Peter Max and his psychedelic art, as well as Pop Art legends Lichtenstein and Warhol, and one can see their influence in the bold choice of imagery and presentation he uses. Fezz wants each piece to be a statement and illicit an emotional response from you the viewer.

Debut releases featuring Marilyn, The Rat Pack, Elvis and Bowie to name but a few, he clearly likes to blend fame and glamour with late 20th century iconography, recreating these nostalgic images of people we all grew up with, in a fresh light.

He is a master of the now popular digital art and screen printing, each original he creates has texture, depth and a luxurious finish, allowing you to get lost in the imagery and mingle with the stars!
