Govinder Nazran (1964-2008) began his career studying Graphic Design and later went on to specialise in illustration. When he finished his education, he moved to London from his hometown of Bradford to pursue his artistic dreams. He decided to approach all the major art publishers with his portfolio, showcasing his talents and in the meantime supported himself by working as an illustrator for children’s books.
From there, Govinder had several more jobs, including a designer for a greetings card company, making use of his creative streak while waiting for his 'big break.'
In 1999, Nazran finally became a professional artist and signed to and became published by, Washington Green Fine Art publishers.
He often said his personality shows through his artwork and as a shy person, he found art a good way of expressing himself.
Sadly, Govinder Nazran passed away in 2008, but his artistic legacy remains & his brilliant personality shines through each and painting, sculpture & limited edition print he had produced in his lifetime – which remain highly sort after to this day.
