New for Spring 2011, this is the fourth posthumously released sculpture featuring the imagery of Govinder Nazran in this marvellous representation of a house, with a smoking chimney, transformed into one of the artist's lovable cat characters!
Look closely, one end of the pointed roof has been turned into the cat's head and the other, looks as if the smoking chimney has been turned into a tail.
An imaginative and classic reproduction (in sculpture) of a Govinder cat in a tangible form, one that invites you the viewer to hold and admire it. Did you notice the bird that has been painted under the belly of the cat? on the arch that the house sits.
Perhaps this represents the strong dedication to his craft Govinder showed throughout his short life and 10 year tenure as one of Britain's most collectable limited edition artists.
This is a charming new sculpture by the late artist, Govinder Nazran. Known for his paintings and sculptures of his wide eyed 'good' cats and slit eyed 'evil' cats, 'Rufus' the house-shaped cat fits the character of a good cat.
It is a humorously titled piece as the main body of the cat makes up the roof of this vibrant red house, hence the name 'Rufus.'
A delightful piece that is collectable for Govinder and cat fans alike.
