This is part of a trio of New releases depicting London and just in time for Christmas, called the ‘Henderson Cisz - Winter Releases 2023.’
A master of modern impressionism, Henderson Cisz paints a rare cityscape devoid of any people and turns his considerable skill to the modern London skyline with: 'Rooftops Of London.'
As you take in the vista from the bottom upwards, you see large buildings of various colours with a plethora of windows, then the various styles of roofs & chimneys, and finally the familiar buildings such as Big Ben, the London Eye & the Shard (all on the left).
But as you ascend to the sky, we see that Cisz also a highly accomplished at painting the sky, with beautiful blue & white colourways representing a cloudy day with the sun illuminating the vista.
I love the middle of the picture infused with green to represent trees and giving the painting a splash of colour!
