Lion King by Jen Allen

Continuing her theme of releasing limited editions of Big Cat wildlife, Jen gives us this spectacular Lion for Autumn 2015 and celebrates the king of the jungle in all his majesty.

Monochrome and soft brown colouring works brilliantly in what is a loose and interpretive depiction of a male lion. Jen does manage to provoke you on some deep emotional level, as you being to understand the animals struggle for survival - as its habitat competes with mans need to dominate the environment.

Jen Allen is exceptionally skilled at capturing the very essence of an animal on canvas and here she casts her eye on the mighty Lion, in all its regal glory.
