As of 2019, Jen Allen has been a full time artist for 19 years, which is an achievement in and of itself - she continues to gain recognition & an international following for her paintings and limited editions. One of her unique abilities is (working from photographs) creating stunning large canvas originals in a matter of hours; various 'time lapse' videos exist of Jen’s speed painting exist including the painting of 'Rocky' (a tiger's face):
These 'performance' based speed paintings are continuing to gain Jen demand for commissions but doubtless it is her skill in creating these high impact, colourful finished paintings that are sealing the deal for her.
2017 saw a foray back into the world of Film, with two stunning limited edition portraits of Christopher Nolan's: Batman & The Joker.
Her regular portraits are distinctive and usually involve painting a person in black & grey onto a blank canvas and then embellishing the painting with further splashes & streaks of colour, bringing a unique modern twist to her figurative paintings.
Jen's relationship with Demontfort Fine Art publisher has developed over the past few years with her originals first being taken on and sold to the trade; she then became known around UK high street galleries for these originals of famous people, such as: Johnny Depp, Amy Winehouse, and Marilyn Monroe to name but a few.

But in February 2014 Allen's skill for capturing wildlife was revealed with the publication of her debut releases of two limited editions by Demontfort and these featured big cats: Rocky (a tiger face) and Narnia (a white tiger face). There were a relatively small edition of 95 copies but they were very well received and quickly sold out.
Demontfort have since gone with the flow & Winter 2015 sees the release of her latest limited editions Collection: a tiger, a lion & prints of Marilyn Monroe & Audrey Hepburn. These prints really show off her two distinct styles and are some of her strongest work to date.
