'Eros' looks like a London tourist guide featuring the famous statue at Piccadilly Circus; it is also a special 'London' addition to the popular 'JJ Adams - Time Magazine Cover Series' featuring imagined covers.

Firstly, this is known officially as the 'Shaftesbury Memorial Fountain' as well as the 'Eros Fountain' but did you know? it actually a winged statue of the God 'Anteros' his brother!

In Greek mythology Anteros is the god of requited love.

Created by the artist Alfred Gilbert, this aluminium sculpture and fountain was erected 1892-3 as a tribute to Anthony Ashley-Cooper, 7th Earl of Shaftesbury who was a lauded politician and philanthropist during the reign of Queen Victoria.
