Under The Pier by JJ Adams

Sharks have always held a fascination for so many and artists, JJ included, are no exception. Perhaps its due to their survivalist nature? having been on the earth some 450 million years compared to modern humans just 300,000 years!

They have certainly been given a bad rap by shock fantasy films such as 'Jaws' & ‘Deep Blue Sea’ but many are facing extinction due to overfishing & prizing of their fins for Chinese medicine.

This tongue in cheek new release ‘Under The Pier’ hopes to present them in a more relatable manner, with a variety of tattoos and graffiti sprayed onto them (by choice one hopes).

JJ is perhaps making a social commentary as well, with rubbish in the sea including face masks! and the remains of a thick chain in the shark’s mouth; perhaps he has broken through an area where he was previously in captivity!?

Much to ponder and reflect, with this most magnificent of species.
