So popular are these blossom filled canvases, that they now regularly appear in John Waterhouse’s limited edition releases, the latest being 'Out In Nature' (2024).
John’s traditional sepia paintings (which he has been painting for nearly three decades) are enhanced with beautiful shades of pinks and purples, representing various trees in blossom, as a couple walk their dog on a country path.
In recent years John has imbued his paintings and limited editions with colours, very subtle amounts at first, and is now very happy to use bolder colour palettes; ‘Through Blossom Fields I & II’ is one of best examples of this marrying of the two worlds!
John is also skilled at creating perspectives and loves to paint trees & branches in the very foreground of the picture, here with small branches and wonderful pink blossom!
