'Match Day' is of course a tribute to the hustle and bustle that goes on in big cities on the days their beloved football team plays and judging by the style of dress, his characters are in the 1920s or 30s. Perhaps you notice their outfits have a USA depression type feel to their clothes - although clearly they wouldn't have had large 'soccer' stadiums back then in the USA.

This limited edition wall art represents hours upon hour of loving work put into it by John, from the houses, the individual people and even the very different window reflections we see. This is a tour de force of imaginative artwork and of course a nod to the great LS Lowry.
