Kay Boyce ties together nicely her extraordinarily talent at drawing Ballet figurative art and the Natalie Portman film 'Black Swan' (2010), with the limited editions: 'Black Swan I & II.'

Artists love to tie in Pop Culture references into their artwork (or at least the titles) and Kay is no exception - here being her first limited editions with black tutus and gorgeous red ballet shows

I am sure this is a nod to the 'The Red Shoes' film (1948), starring Moira Shearer
and perhaps the most famous film of its genre; Sir William Russell Flint, created a limited edition of Moira called 'Russell Flint - Rhythm Of The Ballet' in the same year (1948) during the height of her fame!

As of 2020, Kay is the UK's most beloved ballet artist, producing Sell Out limited editions and originals in both pastels and pencil for nearly two decades.



One of the last copies we have available of this rare limited edition, estimated over 10 years since its release, these older Kay Boyce are increasingly collected by old and new followers of her delicate figurative work.
