This endearing limited edition, taken from an oil painting by Keith Proctor, belongs to his 2011 collection entitled 'Making Memories'.
In the artist's typical style, we very rarely see the faces of the children that feature in his works. If we do, we only catch a glimpse of their face, leaving us, the viewers, to look towards...
...their body language for a portrayal of their emotions and expressions.
You would think that their lack of facial features would leave the viewer disconnected from their stories, but Keith manages to create images that have the complete opposite effect.
Instead, we feel a deeper connection towards them, as they become relatable to all.
They can or remind you of your own children or grandchildren at play, or leave you feeling nostalgic for your own youth, when the greatest worry of your day was what games to play.
