Here we have ‘Breath Of The Wild’ (March 2018) the follow up to the unique edition 'The Messengers' (April 2017), by Kerry Darlington, which was released almost a year ago.
The two limited editions are the same size, have the same release price but visually what do you see that connects the two paintings?
Although clearly different colour pallets and the dominant colour here being a lush aqua blue, the focal point remains the tree and the wild animals gathering around, drawn to the power of mother earth.
Perhaps it is 'The Tree Of Life' itself? the eponymous title of so many of her paintings over the years; notice how a beautiful unicorn stands to the left of the tree, whereas before it was a noble stag.
This time the barn owl flies in, basking in the light of a full moon and in the previous release, you only see the slimmest of outlines of a half moon.
