A lady takes centre stage in this latest 'Unique Edition' release by Kerry Darlington.

Is she laying in bed? or perhaps on a hillside somewhere as the warm summer breeze blows through her hair, as she dreams off the future and what it may hold.

The flowers and their bloom cover her nakedness, embracing her in the softest of petal blankets, caressing her delicate skin & keeping her safe from the world and all troubles.

The depiction of the woman's face, her hands and their position, feet and her long flowing hair are a marvel to behold, reminding us that Kerry is much more than simply a naive artist.

Darlington will complete these limited editions in June 2014 & they will arrive with us then.

Sakura is the Japanese word for cherry blossom & I can't help but wonder if the colour of the blossom provided Kerry with her artistic inspiration for her latest 'Unique Edition.'

A beautiful woman appears to bathe in summer flowers that merge into scores of heart shaped cushions, moving around the canvas like bubbles in a very dreamlike way.

Her face is elegant and bright and it is amazing that Kerry, known for so long as the 'Tree of Life' artist is so skilled at the human form. There is something undeniably storybook about this image, a fairy tale from a far off, long forgotten, place.
