Spring Into Action - Deluxe by Leigh Lambert

A busy scene in the road between houses with grey pavements & buildings. Many much loved elements of Leigh's paintings are here: car repairs, sheets being hung to dry, children on space hoppers and not forgetting football & Ice Cream Vans!

Two elements draw my attention: a man on the right in braces and flat cap walking his dog and the balloons within the scene. Three balloons are tied to the horse and cart and one yellow one is in the hand of the girl on the far left - I honestly don’t recall seeing balloons in Leigh’s pictures before and it adds an extra magical element to these nostalgic scenes!

Come to think of it, I can’t recall seeing a man walking his dog before, I best get busy and see if I can find them in any other pictures!
