In My Dreams by Mackenzie Thorpe

The latest release in the Mackenzie Thorpe limited edition range, a young boy sits at the end of a pier fishing for love with a heart at the end of a rod.

The pier and forest riverside imagery are constant recurring themes in Thorpe’s recent wonderful paintings - you may remember previous limited editions (2022): ‘Always And Forever’ & ‘Love For The World’

Here Mackenzie experiments with more green, amber and primary colour tones and the result is a warm, dreamlike vista filled with hope and wonder.

The river itself appears to represent the mists of time (although the artist has painted water reflection just under the boy and the heart!) and perhaps this is someone showing us where he travels to 'In My Dream(s).'

Mackenzie has written some short words on 'In My Dreams' painting:

Serene dreams dance through the night

Whispered wishes soar'
