Although Mark Grieves is an artist that tends to stick to a very simple monochrome palette in his works, his pieces still manage to stand out in a dramatic way.
His clever use of geometric shapes and his portrayal of lighting and shadows keep the eye interested. Also, the little characters that appear in his works that are in many ways non-descript, are somehow completely endearing and full of sentiment.
